If you are a managed services client, your computer is already protected and managed through our remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform. The ticket is tied directly to your managed device, so we know exactly where to look.
- 1Find the CTEKS iconLook in the Windows system tray, usually near the clock in the bottom-right corner of your screen.
- 2Click the CTEKS iconA short menu opens.
- 3Choose Create Service TicketIt is the first option in the menu.
- 4Describe the issueEnter a brief description of what you are experiencing. Attach a screenshot if it helps, and confirm your contact details. Then click Send.
- 5We take it from thereA CTEKS technician reviews your request and contacts you as needed.
No download needed. Because your computer is already enrolled in our management platform, you normally do not need to download or install a separate remote-support application. When remote help is required, a CTEKS technician securely connects to your computer using our existing RMM remote-support tools.
Quick fixes are in the same icon
The CTEKS tools menu lets you clear a stuck print queue, delete temporary files, clear your browser cache, renew your IP address and more, without waiting for a technician.
Where is the CTEKS icon?
Look near the Windows clock in the lower-right corner of your screen. You may need to click the small up arrow (^) to display hidden system tray icons. Look for the CTEKS logo, click it, and select the option to submit a support request.

Contact CTEKS first
If you are not currently a managed services client, your computer is not connected to our RMM platform. A CTEKS technician can assist you using Microsoft Quick Assist.
To start a Quick Assist session
- 1Click the Windows Start button.
- 2Search for Quick Assist.
- 3Open the Microsoft Quick Assist application.
- 4Contact or speak with a CTEKS technician.
- 5The technician will provide you with a temporary Quick Assist security code.
- 6Enter the code into Quick Assist.
- 7Follow the prompts to allow the technician to securely view or control your computer.
Quick Assist codes are temporary and should only be entered when you are actively working with a verified CTEKS technician. This page never displays a permanent access code or a generic remote-control download.
Protect your computer
For your protection, never allow someone to remotely access your computer unless you initiated the support request or have verified that you are speaking with an authorized CTEKS technician. CTEKS technicians will never ask you to install remote-access software or to give unsolicited remote access to your computer. If a message that looks like it is from us asks for passwords or payment details, call (847) 200-3666 before you respond.

How do I get support?
Existing clients should click the CTEKS icon in the Windows system tray and choose Create Service Ticket. You can also call (847) 200-3666 or email our email address.
Do I need to download anything to get remote help?
Existing managed clients normally do not. Your computer is already enrolled in our RMM platform, so a technician can connect securely using the tools already installed. Non-clients may be given a Microsoft Quick Assist code, which uses the Quick Assist app already built into Windows.
I cannot find the CTEKS icon.
Look near the Windows clock in the lower-right corner. You may need to click the small up arrow to show hidden icons. If it is still missing, call (847) 200-3666.
What is Quick Assist?
Microsoft Quick Assist is a remote-help tool built into Windows. For people who are not managed clients, a technician provides a temporary code so we can securely connect. You can end the session at any time.
Will CTEKS ever ask me for remote access unexpectedly?
No. Only allow remote access when you started the request or have verified you are speaking with an authorized CTEKS technician. If anyone contacts you unexpectedly asking for remote access, hang up and call us at (847) 200-3666.
Is this page for sales questions?
No. Use it for technical support. For quotes and other questions, use our Contact Us page.
